REVIEW: Psyren

Psyren is a Japanese shōnen manga series by Toshiaki Iwashiro. It is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.

Story: Yoshina Ageha is a high school student who offers to help people with their problems for 10,000 yen. He'll take care of your stalkers, find your lost animal, whatever you want. One day when he's heading home, a nearby pay phone rings, and he picks it up. The only thing he hears however is his own voice echoing. After finding a mysterious card with the word 'Psyren' printed on it, his life suddenly changes as he is drawn into a crazy new world.
Psyren is a mixture of Terminater, The Matrix and Gantz. It's a really interesting shonen manga. Psyren was the first manga I read.
I rate the story 4.5/5

Art: Psyren has good art but nothing too special. It has great action scenes.
I rate the art 4.3/5

Characters: Ageha is a regular shonen hero but that doesn't make him unlikable. All the other characters are likable although some of them are stereotypical.
I rate the characters 4.5/5

Enjoyment: Psyren can be enjoyed by anyone who likes shonen manga and good action scenes.
I rate this manga overall 4.6/5
Personal Enjoyment: 4.8/5

I recommend manga like Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail and Soul Eater

Quote of the Week

Make new friends and keep the old, one is Silver and the other Gold.
Make new friends, both young and old, one in Silver, the other Gold.
Make new friends but keep the old, some are silver and others are Gold.
I have a hand, and you have another; put them together and we have each other.
Strangers are just friends waiting to happen.

New Post: Quote

I'm gonna start posting something called Quote of the Week. I will be a quote and I will update it once a week.

REVIEW: Mirai Nikki (Future Dairy)

Future Diary is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Japanese manga author Sakae Esuno. The manga was first serialized in the Japanese shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Ace on January 26, 2006, and is published by Kadokawa Shoten.
story: High school 2nd year, Amano Yukiteru, is a boy who has problem making friends. He thinks of himself as a bystander and will always write down everything he sees in a cell phone diary. Tormented by solitude, Yukiteru began to imagine things like a friend called Deus Ex Machina who is apparently the Lord of Time & Space. Seeing Yukiteru's miserable state, Deus gives him a new ability. His diary will now record events that will happen in the near future. Yukiteru is then forced to participate in a game which the winner will become Deus's successor.
I rate the story 4/5
Art: The art is good but not the best art you'll find but it's good enough
I rate the art 4/5
Characters: There are 12 dairy holders. Yuki (The First) and Yuno (The Second) are the main characters. At the start of the manga Yuki was a crybaby but after a while he changed while Yuno is kinda crazy.
I rate the characters 3.5/5
Enjoyment: This manga can be enjoyed by some people while others will think it's boring.
I rate this manga overall 3.8/5
Personal Enjoyment: 4/5
I recommend manga like Deadman Wonderland, Doubt and Death Note

REVIEW: Gantz

Gantz is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.
Story: Gantz tells the story of a teenager named Kei Kurono who dies in a train accident and becomes part of a semi-posthumous 'game' in which he and several other recently deceased people are forced to hunt down and kill aliens. The missions they embark upon are dangerous. Many die on most missions, but are usually replaced in the same manner as Kei Kurono's appearance. Gantz is divided into 3 phases. The 2 first phases were very good. It's currently in it's 3rd and final phase.
I rate the story 5/5
Art: The art of Gantz is very good and detailed. It is not art you will see everyday.
I rate the art 5/5
Characters: There are lots of characters on every mission and lots of them die. I think the most likeable character is Kato. He is the only one who has a sense of justice
I rate the characters 4.7/5
Enjoyment: Gantz is not a manga for everyone it has a great amount of violence, nudity and gore. It is for the strong hearted only.
I rate Gantz overall 5/5
Personal Enjoyment: 5/5
I recommend manga like Berserk, Battle Royale, Parasyte, Biomega and Black Lagoon.
